Jerry began by buying sheet metal forming machines and tools. He worked off of a homemade wood bench he built outside next to his house. He installed a shade cover over the bench and had to retrieve it from the neighbor’s yard and rebuild it everytime the wind blew.
In April of 2006, High Desert Air Ductor was born. Jerry had finally left his perfectly good job to begin his journey as an entrepreneur which he would soon find out he knew nothing about. One Tuesday morning as he returned to the office, his Office Manager informed him that he had $1.50 in his account and payday was on Thursday. He managed to make it through that week, by the grace of god, and many other similar situations over the years.
High Desert Air Ductor started with one truck and has since grown to 6 trucks and 8 employees serving Ridgecrest and surrounding communities. Now that Air Ductor has been operating for over 15 years they have learned a great deal about running a business in this industry. They are constantly striving to improve their level of service, value and process for their customers, as well as their employees. They also like to get involved in community events, contribute to local charities, youth sports. Since Jerry is a Veteran, they are always looking for ways to help other Veterans.
