The Ductor Story
The year is 2002, and the quality of HVAC service in the Indian Wells Valley is severely lacking. Company founder, Jerry, took notice and came to the conclusion that this could be dramatically improved. The decision was made to open his own HVAC business.
Jerry began by purchasing sheet metal forming machines and the necessary tools for HVAC jobs. Working off a homemade wood bench that was built outside next to his house, Jerry often had to retrieve the shade cover from the neighbor’s yard and rebuild it every time the wind blew.
In April of 2006, Jerry obtained his contractor's license and High Desert Air Ductor (HDAD) was born. He had finally left his perfectly good job to begin this journey as an entrepreneur which he would soon find out he knew nothing about.
HDAD started with one truck and has since grown to 6 trucks and 10 employees serving Ridgecrest and surrounding communities.

Now that HDAD has been operating for nearly 20 years, they have learned and experienced a great deal about running a HVAC business. They are constantly striving to improve their level of service, value, and process for their customers, as well as their employees. They enjoy getting involved in community events, contribute to local charities, and youth sports. Since Jerry is a Veteran, he is always looking for ways to help other Veterans.
Our Mission
High Desert Air Ductor's mission is to provide quality design, installation and service for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) equipment in both residential and light commercial markets. To achieve that, we aim to create a positive work place for our coworkers, produce great value for our customers, and have a positive impact on our community.
