Heat Pumps

What Is A Heat Pump?

A heat pump works very similar to A/C in that it transfers heat from one place to another. In the same way A/C removes heat from your home, a heat pump transfers heat into your home. In fact, heat pumps are capable of cooling and heating with a reversing valve device and only use electricity to run.

Why Install A Heat Pump?

Heat pumps are one of the cheapest and most efficient way to handle both heating and cooling for your home, no matter where you live. They’re also better for the environment. In fact, most experts agree they’re one of the best ways for homeowners to reduce their carbon footprint and reap the benefits of a greener future without sacrificing comfort. In other words, they’re a win-win and a no brainer for solar owners.

Benefits

  • Heating & Cooling Capabilities

  • Energy Efficient

  • Reduces Harmful Emissions

  • Improved Indoor Air Quality

  • Humidity control

  • Pairs Well With Solar

Furnace

Why Install Furnace?

Gas heaters utilize burners and an ignition system for creating heat. This means that they can create a lot of heat quickly and maintain it over time. The burners get very hot, so it’s easy for a gas heater to reach a maximum temperature in a short period of time compared to an electric system. This can mean that your gas heater doesn’t use as much energy since it doesn’t have to stay on as long to heat your home.

Benefits

When To Replace

According to Energy Star, you should consider replacing your air conditioner if it is more than 10 years old, and you should seriously consider replacing the air conditioner if it's more than 15 years old—as this is the average lifespan of most cooling devices. Although this is a good rule of thumb, there are other signs that may indicate that you need an A/C replacement.

Replacement Indicators

  • Heats Home Faster

  • Cost Effective

  • Reliable And Adaptable

  • Environmentally Friendly

  • Can Be Paired With A/C

  • Increases Home Value

Our End To End Installation Process

Sometimes it seems like a long waiting game to get things rolling. We follow a routine process for every install or replacement job. This allows us to consistently deliver comfort to every home. Sometimes the steps needed to be taken can be confusing. Here we can walk you through that process and guide you on what to expect.

  1. Initial Estimate

    • This is our first contact. You will meet with one of our estimators to go over the job at hand. They will send out an initial estimate based on the information they have gathered.

  2. Heat Load / Loss Calculations

    • Here we measure your house room by room and input this data into our advanced software. This will tell us what equipment you need as well as what size each duct should be to reach the desired air flow.

  3. Duct Leakage Test

    • This test is performed by pressurizing your duct system and inspecting any leaks. This test will be done during inspection as well. The leakage rate has to be under a specific threshold to pass inspection. We do this before hand to find anything that needs repair and to ensure a successful inspection.

  4. Revised Estimate

    • After gathering all the information, we revise the estimate to make any changes or add any necessary work that we discovered is needed during our testing.

  5. Equipment / Parts Acquisition

    • Upon approval of the final estimate, we begin to acquire the equipment and parts that are needed to complete the job.

  6. Scheduling

    • Once we receive all the equipment and parts for a job, we then make contact with the customer to schedule a start date for the installation.

  7. Installation / Replacement

    • The duration of an installation varies depending on what is being installed or replaced. Customers will be informed on the status of the job throughout the operation.

  8. Commissioning

    • After the system is installed, we go through the system and make sure everything is running properly and efficiently.

  9. Inspection

    • The final step is a 3rd party inspection. The inspector is making sure that everything is up to code and will also perform the same duct leakage test that we did earlier in the process.
