Why Install Or Replace Ducting?
The ductwork in your home is responsible for circulating the air around your home. Properly sized and installed ductwork has multiple benefits. First, it will reduce the strain on your HVAC equipment, prolonging its life and saving you money in energy costs. Many times we discover areas in a home that may not have adequate supply or return of circulating air. The solution to this can sometimes include installing extra ducting to achieve desired air flow. We also find that most homes have at least one area of ducting that is not the proper size needed to deliver the desired airflow, thus calling for replacement.

Custom Fabrication
Precision In Every Project
Every home is different and that only means that every home has different obstacles, especially when it comes to ductwork installation / replacement. Many times the transition from an HVAC system to the ductwork needs to be custom fabricated to achieve a successful install and desired results. Sometimes we find an entirely new plenum is needed. With our expertise in custom sheet metal fabrication, we can overcome any obstacle that presents itself and craft the unique parts your home may need for an effectively operational duct system.
Our End To End Installation Process
Sometimes it seems like a long waiting game to get things rolling. We follow a routine process for every install or replacement job. This allows us to consistently deliver comfort to every home. Sometimes the steps needed to be taken can be confusing. Here we can walk you through that process and guide you on what to expect.
-
Initial Estimate
-
This is our first contact. You will meet with one of our estimators to go over the job at hand. They will send out an initial estimate based on the information they have gathered.
-
-
Heat Load / Loss Calculations
-
Here we measure your house room by room and input this data into our advanced software. This will tell us what equipment you need as well as what size each duct should be to reach the desired air flow.
-
-
Duct Leakage Test
-
This test is performed by pressurizing your duct system and inspecting any leaks. This test will be done during inspection as well. The leakage rate has to be under a specific threshold to pass inspection. We do this before hand to find anything that needs repair and to ensure a successful inspection.
-
-
Revised Estimate
-
After gathering all the information, we revise the estimate to make any changes or add any necessary work that we discovered is needed during our testing.
-
-
Equipment / Parts Acquisition
-
Upon approval of the final estimate, we begin to acquire the equipment and parts that are needed to complete the job.
-
-
Scheduling
-
Once we receive all the equipment and parts for a job, we then make contact with the customer to schedule a start date for the installation.
-
-
Installation / Replacement
-
The duration of an installation varies depending on what is being installed or replaced. Customers will be informed on the status of the job throughout the operation.
-
-
Commissioning
-
After the system is installed, we go through the system and make sure everything is running properly and efficiently.
-
-
Inspection
-
The final step is a 3rd party inspection. The inspector is making sure that everything is up to code and will also perform the same duct leakage test that we did earlier in the process.
